Self-Exclusion Guidelines
TheSmartest is a competitive quiz website where players can challenge each other one-on-one for money. Each participant answers questions within a specific related game-second countdown, choosing from four options, only one of which is correct.
If you find that you're struggling to manage your participation in the games responsibly, we encourage you to take advantage of our self-exclusion option. This will help you take a break and regain control. Details on how to start this process are available on our Responsible Gaming page.

9. Conditions and Processes for Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion involves ceasing charging money for playing or activities for a designated period, which can be either temporary or permanent. By opting for self-exclusion through TheSmartest, you agree to the terms that become effective once you receive a confirmation email, sent only to the email address registered with your account. This email will confirm the start and end dates of your exclusion.
Please note, requests via our discord are not processed, but our support team will guide you to the appropriate email procedure. Upon emailing us your closure request, we'll initiate a 24-hour cooling-off period for the account(s) concerned, suspending all playing activities. After this period, you must confirm your desired duration of exclusion (ranging from 1 day to permanent). If no confirmation is received within an additional 24 hours, your account(s) will be reactivated.
Should you choose permanent self-exclusion, specify the period when prompted. Occasionally, we may implement a temporary exclusion if deemed necessary, which will also be communicated via email. Terms applicable to all exclusions include:
- You cannot maintain a balance in your account during the exclusion.
- Access for withdrawing funds during the exclusion period is blocked.
- Any active at the time of exclusion will undergo a Cash Out process, which is concluded and not voided.
- No money will be reinstated post-exclusion, and you won't be eligible for bonuses or promotions.
- Permanent exclusions remain indefinitely, and self-exclusions cannot be shortened or reversed.
Our commitment is to adhere to this policy diligently, but we are not liable if you open new accounts or continue to addiction under undisclosed accounts. Any game or deposits made during the exclusion period will be forfeited without reimbursement.
Post-exclusion, it's crucial that:
- You do not attempt to wager or deposit with any excluded accounts.
- You refrain from opening new accounts during the exclusion period.
- We will close any new accounts you open during the exclusion as soon as detected.
We will take all reasonable measures to prevent addiction on our platforms, but it is also your responsibility to adhere to the agreed terms. TheSmartest is not liable for losses incurred if you breach the self-exclusion agreement. Actions contrary to the self-exclusion may lead to termination of wagers and further actions.
After your exclusion period ends, your account will automatically reopen, and you will be notified via a confirmation email to your registered address.
